The Local Media Association is a non-profit organization serving suburban and community newspapers, the only one of its kind. It is the largest suburban and community newspaper trade association in North America, representing over 2,000 newspapers. Its members include companies such as Black Press, Schurz Communications, and the Sun-Times News Group.
The Local Media Foundation, a project of the group, works to help media companies serving local communities through the transition from print to digital.
